Business locations that become Pick Up Points get foot traffic from Trashless customers, who are then likely to purchase your products and services when they come to pick up their delivery.
Not only that, you also earn passive income (a percentage of the total value of the delivery) - adding directly to your business’s bottom line at no extra cost.

- Configure your choice of delivery days
- Pre-populate your pick up instructions (curbside, door, ring bell, etc.)
- Answer any questions you may have
3. Get started on the date of your choosing!
- Your address will appear on the Pick Up Points list that customers can choose from.
1. On delivery day you will receive all the orders at the usual Trashless delivery drop off time (12 noon to 4pm), by a Dropoff driver. Previous delivery day’s returned reusable materials are picked up then as well.
2. Log into the Trashless app/site, select Partner from the dropdown at the top. Then tap on Orders.
3. MOST IMPORTANT STEP: Select the date and mark all the orders as Received. This will send a text alert to all customers that their order is ready for pickup, with the instructions you have provided to them.
4. After the customer has picked up their order, Tap the Picked Up button and select the appropriate choice from the pop up.
5. Credits you’ve earned (up to 5% of total order amount), and the positive Environmental Impact you’ve created is applied to your Trashless customer account automatically.
6. Store the returned reusable materials for picked up at the next delivery.
Log in to your Trashless account and select ‘Partner’ from the dropdown at the top. Then tap on Orders.
Select the date.
When you receive the Orders from Trashless, tap the Received buttons for each. This will trigger a text message to those customers that their order is ready for pick up.
After the customer has picked up the order, tap the Picked Up button and select the appropriate choice.
Customers will be asked not to bring compost with their return materials to Pick Up Points.
Customers will also be asked to make sure all containers are securely closed, and that no open containers or bags are returned.
Approximately two days after each Pick Up day, the payout for your service will automatically be applied as a credit to your Trashless account. You can use that for your next delivery, or request for it to be redeemed.
You can choose to offer your Pick Up Point at any or all of the current Trashless delivery days in your zip code (you can find it here).
If you plan to be away or are otherwise not able to serve as a Pick Up Point, please communicate with our Customer Support team as far in advance as possible, and we will make other arrangements for the deliveries to take place. We all have places to go and things to do - and we will work around those situations.
All issues with the order itself, such as missing items will be handled by the Trashless customer support team. The customer can reach out directly to us, or you can easily create a support ticket through the Trashless app in one tap with all the order details pre-populated.
Under no circumstances should the Pick Up Partner open any of the delivery bags.
Just like with food delivered to a home via independent, freelance delivery drivers through services like Instacart, UberEats or Doordash - where the customer trusts the driver to maintain the integrity of the contents of the delivery - the community expects Trashless Pick Up Partners to have the highest possible standards, based mostly on common sense.
If there are any issues, please report them to us immediately - we will take care of things, including sending replacements, communicating with the customers and more.
- An indoor, room temperature area at your location for the new delivery bags to be staged for pick up. No refrigeration is required because all the delivery bags are insulated and have frozen ice packs.
- As per the Trashless cyclical model, you will receive reusable materials back from customers. You will need to have indoor space (does not need to be air conditioned) where they will be stored till the next pick up.
- A smartphone or computer where you can mark items received and picked up, as it happens.
We recommend you also join the Reuse Army - so anyone in your neighborhood can drop off reusable items like ice packs to your home to further reduce your community’s carbon footprint.
