Healthy & Nutritious

According to research, nutrient density of microgreens can be several times higher than their fully grown counterparts. Microgreens also have high medicinal value.

Fresh As Can Be

Plants start losing their nutritional value from the moment they are harvested. Bitsy Organics are live plants - nothing is fresher than that. Harvest & eat - with nutrients staying intact.

Local & Carbon Neutral

Before they get to you, Bitsy Organics are nurtured under LED grow lights in a facility powered by solar energy using Tesla Solar Tiles + a Tesla Powerwall.

This facility is only a few miles from the Trashless warehouse, where they are finally prepared for delivery to you. No long distance transportation in refrigerated trucks and what not for Bitsy Organics to get to you.

This makes them one of the lowest carbon footprint ways to eat nutritious food.

Learning Experience

Watching Bitsy Organics grow is an enjoyable learning experience.

It has been proven that kids who witness food being grown are more likely to eat it. This makes Bitsy Organics an excellent way to help picky eaters become more interested in good, healthy food.

About Bitsy Organics

Bitsy Organics was founded in the Spring/Summer of 2021 by two Austin-based middle school brothers and their Dad.

The brothers constantly lamented not having enough money to buy virtual goods in their favorite video games. Their father lamented them being obsessed with video games, and wanted them to do activities that didn’t involve screens.

All three of them had an interest in common: Plants. And healthy eating, cooking, and entrepreneurship.

One day the boys observed expensive store-bought microgreens rotting in the back of the fridge of a relative and started riffing on how that waste can be prevented. And how the entire microgreens concept could be made so much better. They were determined that the price of their end product - fresh microgreens - will be the same or lower than store bought microgreens.

Meanwhile, they learnt that Trashless was looking to dispose of thousands of containers it used for delivering meal-kits that it didn’t need anymore because it switched to branded containers.

Rest as they say, is perspiration. For months they spent long evenings and weekends researching, planting, testing, designing, creating, learning and more . . . sacrificing, you guessed it, screen time - just to make some extra money for, you guessed it, screen time.

They hope you will enjoy what Bitsy Organics bring to you:

- Better Health

- Reduced Carbon Footprint

- Learning Experiences

- Greater Convenience

- Food Waste Prevention

- Incredible Flavors
